Fifteen-plus years turning health science into something you can actually use.

I’m a nurse practitioner, health scientist, and coach who has spent a career moving between clinical practice, research, industry, and education. The most interesting problems in health don’t live inside boundaries, and neither do I.

The bio
The most interesting problems don’t live inside boundaries.

I’ve worked a cardiac ICU and a college health clinic. I’ve run a mobile health program and a gender-affirming care program. I’ve published research, built academic curricula, and helped health-tech companies translate science into products real people actually use.

What ties it together isn’t a job title. It’s a habit of mind: when the evidence is messy, the incentives are misaligned, or the marketing has outrun the science, I go looking for what’s actually true — and then I figure out what to do about it.

That’s the work. Flower Power Health is where I do it with you: as a scientific advisor to organizations building credible health products and content, and as a coach for people who want to apply the same rigor to their own health and performance.

Speaking & writing

Talking the talk

I write and speak about complex health science for general audiences — because expertise that stays locked in journals leaves impact on the table.

From blog posts to press interviews to keynotes and workshops, I bring clarity (and sometimes humor) to science, self-care, strategy, and the overlap among them.

Beyond the work

I’m a trail runner with several ultramarathon finishes to my name. I’ll say yes to almost any physical challenge that sounds slightly unreasonable. I volunteer with organizations including Girls on the Run and my county’s Medical Reserve Corps. And when I’m not doing either of those, I’m probably planning the next adventure.

Curious what this looks like in practice?
